About PURO™ Effectiveness
PURO™ Lighting started a pilot program with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York City. Their products, specifically the Sentry mobile units, will disinfect buses, trains, stations, and offices.
Watch the video below for a demonstration of how the products work. When the products are in operation, you will notice no one is nearby. Exposure to UV-C can result in burns to the skin and eyes.
A scientist working as an advisor to the pilot program with the MTA and PURO™ says he used the same UV that will be used on the subways to test COVID-19. His preliminary results showed that UV can kill SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19.
Few details are known about the dosage involved in his tests. Dr. Brenner says he will continue his research and submit it for peer review.
